A very, very nice hotel with an impressive view. Those who want to get their hunting license safely and professionally are also in good hands here. 👌👍

Was here in the 3 week course in August of the hunting school, it was a very, very nice time! The hotel is very well organized and absolutely perfect for students! Even after the end of the day, the kitchen made us eat if we came back from class later

It was a wonderful weekend, thanks for the great service! We stopped by bike in October and despite the company holiday in the restaurant, we got a snack platter and we had a very nice chat. Nice, clean rooms and the terrace is great, will definitely come back in summer stay healthy

First of all, I have seldom seen an owner / operator take so much time to berate their critics instead of taking more time to resolve their problems. Secondly, some hymns of praise seem strange to us rather than credible compared to personal impressions. In concrete terms: We waited an incredibly long time for the soup, then a long time again for the main course. The "market-fresh" vegetables were convenience, the meat (in the hunting-oriented Albhotel) was imported, sliced ​​far too thin and tough as leather, the children were given the food with a delay, etc. Fortunately, the first confused service staff was later replaced by an attentive young lady. Overall: never again.

Good food, friendly service, beautiful view, difficult to find when you come from the direction of Mühlhausen. Actually, you have to drive through the whole place first. Should be written to.

Outstanding view of Wiesensteig from the terrace. Extremely courteous, friendly staff. High quality freshly prepared dishes. Game dishes are a highlight. May be due to the corona, small menu. Small drawback if you eat there more often.

The hotel is beautifully situated on a hill above Wiesensteig - the menu is very clear and seasonal, but all main courses and side dishes are absolutely convincing.

Very nicely situated above Wiesensteig. Wiesensteig right in front of you. We wanted to eat warm for lunch on Saturday. Unfortunately only possible from 5:30 p.m. Shame the service was very friendly.

Restaurant with a very nice view, we sat outside with a great view of Wiesensteig and the surrounding area. Also to be highlighted is the great service and the friendliness of the staff. Here the junior manager serves personally. Unfortunately, the sausage salad I ordered was a bit small, even if the quality was good. We will come back. A reservation is recommended.

We had been here for dinner on Sunday and discovered this restaurant by accident. We received a very friendly welcome and, despite many reservations, got a table. The food was excellent in taste and corresponds to a down-to-earth Swabian cuisine. The service was friendly and attentive but not intrusive.

We dined in the restaurant for the first time yesterday on the recommendation of friends. You should make a reservation now at these times, as it is very difficult to choose a seat. We had a very nice place on the terrace. The staff is attentive and very friendly. Our special requests were also all met ... We had: Salad with strips of turkey is very fresh and delicious. Medium rump steak, very good meat to the point. Wild boar sausages, great in taste. Roast wild boar with spaetzle, the sauce was great. And finally the dessert, a poem The wonderful ambience and the friendly service made it a perfect evening. Many thanks to the entire team and hopefully see you again soon.

Cozy and clean rooms with great views of the valley. Very comfortable beds .. The restaurant is great, prices are ok. I can highly recommend the goose at the moment, just right for the pre-Christmas period. Unfortunately, the sauna was broken in the hotel and I could not try it. The staff is very friendly

Difficult to review. I want it to be good because the place is lovely, but in the evening it's abandoned. For starters, if you visit monday. The kitchen and the bar are closed. We were passing through germany, looked up the hotel and made a reservation because it had a bar, restaurant etc. Everything we wanted in one place (according to the site) to arrive, have a drink, something to eat and go to bed to continue our journey in the morning. We were so wrong. Short version + great location with a beautiful view of the town + nice comfortably rooms + good breakfast and friendly staff in the morning - horrible welcoming in the evening, almost blunt - no dinner/drinks available at monday because there is no staff. We had a mini bar... but we wanted to have a drink at a bar to relax after our day of travel. - from 21:00 till 6:00 there is no staff present, the music in the public areas are turned on to some radiostation. To make sure we don't feel lonely and start barking? Basically, this place is beautiful but it does not feel very welcome in the evening. The place looks out over the village of Wiesensteig, which is gorgeous. On arrival, the door sort of jammed. (apparently it needed a big push, but as humble as we were we tried to open to door without force. It didn't open so we rang the bell. From somewhere we were shouted at in German... after a while the receptionist came to the door telling us to push harder. ... which we were obviously sorry we didnt do it the first time. Anyway, our reservation wasn't received properly, which annoyed the receptionist. Apparently because it was not received, we were given a bigger room for the price of our reserved room. +1 for us. We did had to pay in advance... which made sense later on. After checking in, we were hungry and wanted a drink. No bar, no restaurant... on the side it says just monday, but the sign on the door says tuesdays no food as well. We checked on Googlemaps, there were 4 restaurants in town, 1 of them was non existent, 1 of them was closed on monday, the 3rd one had such bad reviews we skipped it and it left us for the restaurant of the other remaining hotel in town: Hotel-Gasthof am Selteltor Here they had an open restaurant, which was absolutely great. Great food, some nice beers and better we were welcome. The host did mention how her kitchen was understaffed at the moment because she did not expect so many tabled tonight due to Albhotel sending all the guests here. After dinner we arrived back at the hotel, around 21:00ish. At that moment the receptionist left for the day. Inside there was no staff left. The music in the hallway was on some local radiostation. Which was kind of weird when we entered because it sounded like there was a tv on somewhere. It felt like the same thing you would do if you leave your dog at home for the evening, so it won't bark at the sounds outside. So aside from the abandoned hotel and the closed bar and restaurant our upgraded room was nice. A balcony that looked over the village. A complimentary bottle of mineral water and great beds. The curtains were a bit small for the windows, but no showstoppers there. After the night, the lady who served breakfast was kind and friendly. Breakfast was great. Checkout was proper as well. So the place is great, but we didn't feel very welcome on arrival due to the grumpy receptionist and the closed restaurant.

Great hotel. Very friendly service. Delicious eaten. All in all, highly recommended.

We just celebrated with 70 people at the Malakoff Hotel in Wiesensteig and we can highly recommend it. If you are looking for one of the more beautiful places here on God’s green earth, Wiesensteig ist a must see. If you are looking for a good place to eat local food and game specialties, the Malakoff Hotel and Restaurant serves food that is a must eat. If you are looking for a perfect place for your wedding or party, this place is great! The hotel has a beautiful terrace with a spectacular view, perfect service you can count on to make your guest happy, and an exact calculation of what was eaten and drunk that feels fair. Everyone (incl. us 😊) had a great time.

Pleasantly surprising, can't wait to go back in summer and enjoy the view.

A little gem just off the motorway. It will be our preferred stopover from now on. Rooms are well appointed with excellent bathroom. Beds were very comfortable. Restaurant was cosy with a small but delicious menu including Argentinian steak and venison. The staff's English was poor but good enough to communicate. The little town is beautiful with many ancient buildings. The decor is like a huntsman lodge, full of stuffed animals which is fine for me but perhaps not to everyone's taste. Though 5 minutes off the motorway its very otherworldly.

Very nice place, sauna was only available after 17.00, but they were very nice to my dog. View is very cool, clean and warm

Very chic hotel with great views very familiar and hospitable a real insider tip for the area. Equipment very new and well done but the bed did not really like it would be worth considering the two single beds against 1 whole swap, you always slip into the big gap in the middle therefore I deducted 1 star we are still looking forward to the next visit 😊

we had a wunderful dinner, delicious food. The location and rooms are very nice and clean. The service was great and very friendly. We were 20 people that evening and all of us were very happy. Thank you!
